Questions, answered.
Is threadbare just for clothes?+
Mostly, but the same stitches work on bags, shoes, and home textiles. If it's made of thread, we'll help you mend it.
Do I need to know how to sew?+
No. The guides start at 'thread a needle' and build from there. Sashiko, darning, and patchwork are all beginner-friendly.
What's 'visible' mending?+
Repair that's meant to be seen — contrast thread, decorative stitches. The tear becomes the best part of the garment.
Is it free?+
Yes — the mending library and fit guides are free during beta and stay free after launch.
What if I can't fix it myself?+
Bring it to a repair café, or list it on Finds. A garment that can't be mended can still be passed on.
Can I sell my finds?+
Soon. The marketplace opens in Q4 — you'll be able to list your secondhand pieces with a photo and a story.
