How to darn a sock so it's invisible
A hole in the heel isn't the end of a good sock. Here's how to close it so well you'll forget it was ever there.
Match the thread
Same weight, same color, same fiber. A wool sock needs wool thread — cotton will wear through in a week.
Weave, don't knot
Lay the warp over the hole, then weave the weft through it, over-under. Pull snug, not tight, and the patch disappears into the knit.
