It was a scarf, three feet of oatmeal wool, with a single tear the size of a thumbprint. It took me forty minutes and no thread I could see.
Quiet mending
The best repairs are the ones you can't find afterward. Same yarn, same stitch, same tension — the scarf just… went back to being a scarf.
Why it matters
Not every mend needs to be visible. Sometimes the whole point is to make it as if it never happened.
